Heartland Song Network and Midwest Music Foundation present a Free Musicians Healthcare Clinic and Songwriter’s Sanctuary Open Mic on Sunday, November 17th at PH Coffee (2200 Lexington Ave, Kansas City, MO.)
The free Musicians’ Health Care Clinic presented by MMF will run from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. Contact rhonda@midwestmusicfound.org for appointment.
-MMF is providing free custom earplugs to the first 15 qualified musicians/music industry personnel to apply. Impressions will be done by AudioGirl Consulting.
-Dr. Allen Greiner from the RockDocs, physicians from University of Kansas Medical Center, will offer information, screenings, wellness programs, opportunities to discuss health conditions/concerns, and arrange follow up visits. Flu shots vouchers good at any CVS will be available.
-Molly Gotobed, Community Health Council of Wyandotte County, will provide information on ACA insurance and Medicaid enrollment.
-Bill Rogers, Physical Therapist, Orthopedic and Geriatric Clinical Specialist will be available to consult and help triage musculoskeletal problems.
Priority given to musicians/music industry personnel, but the clinic is open to the public. Appointments are recommended. Walk-ins will be allowed as time permits. Contact rhonda@midwestmusicfound.org for more information or to schedule an appointment for any of the services.
The 3rd Sunday monthly Songwriter’s Sanctuary presented by Heartland Song Network will occur from 3:30-5:30pm. Register to perform on Eventbrite.
