Join us for a celebration of Dave Marsh’s new book, “Kick Out the Jams,” Tuesday August 15th at 7pm at the Warwick in Kansas City. Midwest Music Foundation will have a table to spread the word on our mission to help the KC music community.

We want to use the release of this anthology to celebrate Marsh’s vision and its role in our own work here in Kansas City, ranging from anti-censorship struggles to all manner of human rights issues, the diverse spectrum of basic needs issues that face both artist and audience.

The event will be free, with a cash bar and free food and drinks provided. We’re inviting Kansas City activists to table and say a few words and various members of Kansas City’s music community (in the broadest imaginable sense) to read from the anthology and//or contribute to the occasion in a variety of ways.
