Westport Roots Festival 2017

Westport Roots Festival was developed in 2013 when Little Class Records and The Westport Saloon decided to team up and make The Historic Neighborhood of Westport, located in KCMO ground zero for the new roots music revolution. Launching Memorial Day Weekend, 2014, WRF made waves and in the media and the national music community with the diverse line up of genre bending artists. The traditional Bluegrass, Honky-Tonk and Outlaw acts performed side byside with Psychobilly, Cowpunk and Neo-Traditional acts, creating a unique blend of music appealing to many listening preferences! Boulevardia 2017

Boulevardia isn't an everyday experience. Our pop-up party nation combines the best aspects of beer, food and music festivals. This year, our home moves to the Stockyards District. Situated in one of the oldest areas of Kansas City, the site was originally an area for trade and a receiving point for goods traveling on steamships up the Missouri River. The Midwest Music Foundation along with the RockDocs, a collaboration of University of Kansas and the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County, present a Free Musicians' Health Care Clinic that will offer information, screenings, wellness programs, opportunities to discuss heath conditions and concerns and arrange follow up opportunities. Stop by and 'take a minute for yourself.' This event is part of the Crossroads Music Festival a Fundraiser for 90.1 FM, KKFI.
